GDC Game Day w/ Five Mics: The Hip-Hop Card Game

This was our most fulfilling time at GDC since the inception of @fivemics_tcg!

Throughout the conference we had REAL gamers playing Five Mics for HOURS, buy all our starter decks, and even give us ideas for future mechanics (the epitome of a “game developers” conference! 😊).

MUCH love to @blackingaming too that made spaces for me to share my founder journey & for us to play Five Mics with the community! (@thisistrini and @chocolatebear1990 had to politely kick us out the space because people wouldn’t stop playing once Black Fest was over 😅)

To cap our time at GDC, we threw our 1st ever Five Mics Game Day at @sfgamepost and EXCEEDED all of our expectations!

People literally walking out of their way to come play Five Mics with us for hours (sometimes for their 2nd/3rd day in a row) left me beyond fulfilled.

TL;DR:
Entrepreneurship is HARD. Making games is HARD. Life is HARD.
But the opportunity lies inside how you manage the difficulty.

Remember your why. Don’t focus on numbers. Focus on PEOPLE. The numbers will follow. Create value. Then give it to those that believe its value.
